John J. Mohan practices in the areas of employment, construction, personal injury and workers’ compensation law. His experience includes representation of various defendants in over 60 civil jury trials in federal and state courts in Missouri and Illinois. He successfully defended numerous employers and insurers in various workers’ compensation cases before the Missouri Division of Workers’ Compensation, Missouri Labor & Industrial Relations Commission and Missouri appellate courts, including many alleged permanent total disability cases. John is a certified arbitrator/mediator on panels of various courts and ADR providers. He has mediated more than 350 cases, and has arbitrated more than 50 cases, including personal injury, commercial and employment cases. John also has an engineering degree. John began his career as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in St. Louis County in 1971, and in 1972, became Assistant Circuit Attorney for the City of St. Louis. By 1974, he was Chief Trial Attorney and Chief of Criminal Division in St. Clair County, Illinois. In addition to his private law practice, John has served as Special Assistant State’s Attorney in charge of Grand Jury in St. Clair County, Illinois from 1979 to present. He has prosecuted over 65 criminal jury cases to verdict in Missouri and Illinois. John has been listed in "Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in America."
