Tom Tueth Speaks at Missouri School Board Association Annual Conference Regarding TIFs and Chapter 100 Bonds

In the spirit of that commitment, firm shareholder Tom Tueth, recently spoke at the Missouri School Board Association's 2009 Annual Conference. The annual conference, which takes place over a three day period, was held at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri, and is the largest gathering of public school policymakers in Missouri.

Tom Tueth spoke on Saturday, October 24, 2009. His presentation titled, "TIFs and Chapter 100 Bonds: What Can School Districts Do?" He discussed what school officials can do to protect school funds that can be negatively impacted by TIF and Chapter 100 Bonds approved by counties and municipalities. The presentation focused on how school board members and other school officials can be proactive and what strategies they can employ in order to get the best result possible for their school district.

Thomas E. Tueth practices in the areas of education, higher education, labor and employment and civil litigation law. Tom’s experience includes representation of public school districts, colleges and universities, private schools and not-for-profit organizations throughout Missouri. He counsels and speaks to school officials on a wide variety of topics including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, contracts and tenure, rights of students, negligence and general liability, church and state, school finance and employee organizational matters. Tom provides ongoing advice to dozens of public school districts, private schools and institutions of higher education.
