Tueth Keeney Presents 2008 Annual Seminar Regarding Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy in the School Setting
 

This year Tueth Keeney will again present its annual Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy School Practice Seminar.  If you currently work in a school setting, would like to work in a school setting, or simply desire new information about OT/PT in a school setting, you do not want to miss this unique seminar. If you are tired of attending seminars that do little more than reinforce what you already know, then this seminar is for you! Taught by expert therapists with extensive practice experience in the school setting and by three experienced school law practitioners, you will leave the seminar equipped to integrate your skills into special education programming for students.

Celynda L. Brasher practices in the areas of school law, school litigation, and labor and employment law. Celynda represents many school districts throughout Missouri. She regularly advises boards of education and administrators on matters involving education, including employment and termination, students, special education, civil rights, contracts, Open Meetings Act, church/state issues, Hancock Amendment challenges, and an assortment of constitutional provisions.

Merry C. Rhoades is a Shareholder in the law firm of Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan & Jackstadt, P.C. A graduate of the DePaul University College of Law and MacMurray College, Ms. Rhoades focuses her practice on general counsel services with an emphasis on special education law and student-related issues, school district reorganization matters and tax and finance matters. Ms. Rhoades also has extensive experience in civil rights litigation, special education administrative hearings, state and federal court litigation at the trial and appellate levels, and state administrative hearings. She is a member of the Illinois Council of School Attorneys Executive Committee and currently serves as its 2nd Vice Chairperson. Ms. Rhoades also participates in the Illinois Council of School Attorneys’ special education concerns committee. She is also a speaker for school related organizations including the Illinois Association of School Boards and the Illinois Association of School Administrators. She also serves as an Illinois Association of School Boards PRESS advisory committee member.

Peter G. Yelkovac practices in the areas of education and employment law. Pete regularly counsels public school districts in all facets of education and employment law. Pete also regularly advises private employers on employment and labor issues. Pete has successfully defended numerous federal and state lawsuits on behalf of public school districts, universities and private employers. He has extensive experience litigating employment discrimination lawsuits and Section 1983 claims involving a variety of constitutional issues.
