Tueth Keeney attorneys Tom Tueth and Kate Nash successfully defended the Wellston School District, against a multi-count petition filed by the District's former Superintendent. On July 16, 2009, Judge James R. Hartenbach granted Wellston School District's Motion for Summary Judgment in the St. Louis County Circuit Court, resulting in a judgment in favor of the District.
The lawsuit was prompted by the Wellston's School District's decision to release its Superintendent when the State of Missouri took over control of the District. The former superintendent then filed a multi-claim suit, including a claim for breach of contract against the school district. Tom Tueth and Kate Nash presented and supported the District's summary judgment motion in front of Judge Hartenbach, who then granted the District's motion, providing an important victory for the School District.
