Melanie Keeney, John Reynolds and Dan Rhoads Win Summary Judgment in Missouri Prevailing Wage Case

Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan & Jackstadt P.C. has successfully represented a number of businesses, large and small, throughout the Midwest in a wide variety of labor and employment matters. Most recently, attorneys from Tueth Keeney successfully defended a trucking company in the St. Louis County Courts against a breach of contract claim brought by a former employee.

Melanie Gurley Keeney and John Reynolds served as the lead attorneys on the case, although it was associate Daniel Rhoads who argued the defendant's Motion for Summary Judgment before Judge Hood on November 13, 2009.  The substance of Plaintiff's suit was a prevailing wage claim, and summary judgment was argued on the grounds that Plaintiff's lawsuit was barred by the statute of limitations.  Following the briefing and due in part to Mr. Rhoads' effective oral argument, the Judge issued an Order November 20, 2009 granting defendants' summary judgment motion and dismissing the former employee's case.

Melanie Keeney practices in the areas of Employment, Immigration, and Education law. Melanie represents institutions of higher education, corporations and individuals in immigration law matters, including obtaining nonimmigrant and immigrant visas and handling employer sanctions issues, I-9 compliance, E-Verify issues, consular processing and naturalization.
